The URL you provide to wget contains this:
{code}
[centos5|centos6|fedora17|fedora18]
{code}

You're supposed to replace that with whatever specific RPM-based distro you're using. e.g.

{code}
 http://archive.apache.org/dist/bigtop/bigtop-0.6.0/repos/centos6/bigtop.repo
{code}

Is this the problem, perhaps?
