Hello,

I clearly hesitated prior to posting it on the ML due to « commercial »
nature of this, but since almost everybody here is actively looking for
talents, it is best if we can make some noise about it.

Hopefully with all those jobs, that will be some great improvements for
the product. Mission 1 for our developer to be hired is to tackle on all
consistency problems in the VR prior to add new features.

@Schuberg Philis team: is the work you presented on the poster regarding
the VR public? If yes can you point to branch/repo where it is undertaken ?

I don't mind seeing job offers from "good guy" companies like Exoscale who are active in the community and contribute back, especially at this moment in time when this kind of thing is a rarity so to say.

If the volume of postings increases it will become annoying and linkedin or some other places may be better suited, but that'd still be a nice problem to have.

A very good sign indeed, as Giles say! And also quite interesting to see such interest for ACS in Europe.

Let's not forget Wido is also looking for Cloudstack people at PCExtreme.

Seems like a good time to be an ACS developer!

It's time to learn Java! :-)

My 2 pence,

Lucian

RE: CloudStack Job offering @exoscale

Posted by Octavian Popescu <Oc...@interoute.com>.
Just a quick note to confirm that Interoute is indeed hiring as well a Cloudstack developer to be based in our London office, feel free to drop me an email directly for additional info. I was wondering if maybe we could have a separate mailing list for CS-related roles (e.g. jobs@cloudstack.apache.org) Personally I feel like there's a lot of value in connecting directly job seekers with hiring managers and on Linkedin there's just way too much noise these days (or maybe I'm just too old school when it comes to technical recruiting ;)

Thanks,
Octavian

RE: CloudStack Job offering @exoscale

But being such a small community right now, I think its great to see Exoscale creating developer roles around Cloudstack and agree, right now, that this is the most sensible place to post them - really good news Antoine.
At the same time its worth mentioning that ShapeBlue have a number of Cloudstack dev & Engineering positions open
Shapeblue.com/careers
And, yes, Interoute are also hiring Cloudstack people

As the jobs market around Cloudstack is clearly developing (what a fantastic sign), long-term, nobody wants to see our dev list getting spammed by recruiters, etc - but I also do think it is useful for people in our community to see that, if they want, they can develop their careers around ACS
May I suggest that we encourage people going forward to use the various Cloudstack linkedin groups for these sort of subjects - that would keep these out of the dev list

Thoughts ?

Kind Regards
Giles
