user defined variables based on response
Hi All,
I am trying to setup a test and I want to accomplish the following. I
need to send a request from the server, and in the response is an
element I need to send in the next request. Is something like this
possible with jMeter ?

You'll want to check out the Regular Expression Extractor. This will do exactly what you are looking for. You can read about it here: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/component_reference.html#Regular_Expression_Extractor
