snapshot delete for a released artifact doesn't work if using seperate repositories

I set up my repositories this way :
id : local-snapshots :  for hosting only my company's snapshots : no release in it
id : local-release : for hosting only my company's releases : no snapshot in it.

I configured archiva to delete released snapshots, but it seems not to work if snapshot are in a different repo than releases. Snapshots are not beeing deleted, although a release is done for an artifact.
