Too many open files on ubuntu1
Hi,
We've just had a few Jackrabbit-trunk builds fail on ubuntu1 due to
the test suite running out of open file handles. Could someone check
the current open file limit there, and raise it if appropriate.
I would have checked this myself, but I don't currently have sudo
access on the hudson master and my direct login on minerva no longer
works.
BR,
Jukka Zitting

This should now be resolved.

No need. We've confirmed that when hudson logs in over ssh, it will
have an open files limit of 1024. We're looking into how to fix this.

Thanks, that should be plenty enough. I'll take a look at our build to
see if it's leaking open file descriptors.

I was thinking of doing "sudo -u hudson ssh minerva.apache.org ulimit -n".

Good, thanks!

Yeah, I've spent way too much time writing in the past few months.
Luckily I'm just about done already. :-)

hudson@minerva:~$ cat /etc/pam.d/common-session | grep limit
session required pam_limits.so
hudson@minerva:~$ ulimit -n
40000
so unless I missed something, looks good to me.

Sudo access on the Hudson Master is not required for checking file handles
of a slave machine. However as you have configured OPIE now and are intended
on being a Hudson admin in general, your sudo access is restored.
Remember NO builds on the Master.

Keep up man :) , we lost two disks on that machine and had to rebuild it
back in
December. I said then, anyone who needs the access back for that machine
will
ask for it. I'll take that as such a request and re-create your acct, check
it
in 1/2 hour or so.
