[jira] [Created] (RANGER-1130) Considering extending usersync to support Apache Syncope

Colm O hEigeartaigh created RANGER-1130:
-------------------------------------------

Summary: Considering extending usersync to support Apache Syncope
                 Key: RANGER-1130
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-1130
             Project: Ranger
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Colm O hEigeartaigh
            Assignee: Colm O hEigeartaigh

Right now we can sync users/groups in from LDAP and UNIX. We should also consider supporting Apache Syncope. Syncope offers a REST API so we can easily pull in users/groups in Ranger. Syncope is a powerful IdM solution, that supports multiple backend connectors to pull users/groups from LDAP, AD, DBs, web services etc.
