Multi-homed environment: setting the local IP address for WebDav methods

Is there a way to do this?  For instance, if my machine has 2 IP 
addresses, how can I specify, for instance when doing a 
WebdavResource.putMethod(), which local IP address should be used?

I am using Java 1.4 and Slide client library 2.1
