[~djencks] Attached is a patch which starts to implement field injection. The idea is to cover both event references and field references through the same API, the "new" ReferenceMethod interface. I've moved the implementations for Bind/Unbind/Updated to a new package and make them implement this interface. We could do the same for field injection.
Before I give this a try, wdyt is this a viable way?
