[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-12225) Add bin-test/test coverage for bin/solr auth functionality

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-12225?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17718043#comment-17718043 ]

Eric Pugh commented on SOLR-12225:
----------------------------------

[~gerlowskija] do you think this is done enough? We have test_auth.bats with two tests.. My feeling is that if I am working on a ticket like SOLR-11206, then I'll add the tests to the existing file now that the pattern is established. Alternativelive, to close this ticket, what tests would I need to add to call it done?

> SOLR-11749 introduced a regression-test-suite for the {{bin/solr}} scripts.  This is one of a series of follow-on issues to expand the test coverage in this suite to cover more of the {{SolrCLI}} tools made available by {{bin/solr}}
> This issue focused specifically on adding coverage for the {{bin/solr auth}} tool. Expanding this coverage is important for future refactors or additions to the bin/solr scripts, such as porting more of the logic back to Java code (SOLR-11206, SOLR-11946), or unifying the solr.in.* files used on Solr startup (SOLR-7871)
