Xindice CVS v. install

Hi! I have cvs version (war) installed on remote machine. I need to import
some documents there now, but have no idea how to do it... Should I use
xindice admin tool (xindice.sh)? If so, what does it need to work properly?
I've tried to copy

java
      /lib
bin
conf

there and start xindice.sh (XINDICE_HOME is set to this directory), but got
an error (noclassdeffound XML tools)... maybe, there is a better way to do
it? maybe I can remotely import documents with my local xindice.bat somehow?
