[users@httpd] which is better

php or cgi for emailing a form?

I prefer to use PHP because of the security involved running CGI scripts
and also I prefer my sites to be flexible to move from site to site if I
switch the hosting provider, most of them charge extra for the CGI option
and the security should be very carefully defined as well.

All the best,
Jeff Cohen

It depends on your background.

I do a lot of PHP web sites, for creating a custom email form is very easy. I don't do a lot with perl/cgi for it would be a little hard for me.

To answer your question, both will get the job done great. What ever one you feel is easier for you, use it.

There is lots of people who feel PHP is better and lots who think Perl is better. I feel they both have their pros and cons and that both languages are great.

My two cents,
Mark.
