Thanks for highlighting this issue [~relaynetwork].

As you noted, one option would be to introduce a new Processor property. In light of ListenHTTP automatically decompressing requests based on either the custom or standard header, perhaps adding a property named something like {{Content Decoding Strategy}} could work. With a default value based on automatic request header parsing, the current behavior would remain is it stands. With a different value, perhaps {{Unprocessed}}, any content encoding would be ignored and passed along without any further action.

Could you elaborate on the second suggestion about a custom header? If it is possible to modify the request headers prior to requests hitting ListenHTTP, then a simple resolution would be to remove the {{Content-Encoding}} header. That would be a better option if there is a reverse proxy in front of ListenHTTP, as it would avoid the content decoding implemented in version 1.17.0.
