carriage return/linefeed

When I create a CData type Node, add it to a
DocumentImpl and then get the CData Node out and get
it's value, each carriage return/line feed seems to be
duplicated.
For example:
Line1
Line2
Line3
Will turn into:
Line1

Line2

Line3
Any ideas?
