Running STS Sample in CXF 2.5.2
Hi,
CXF 2.5.2 comes with a sample on STS. ( I am using jdk 1.6)
Basically, Client communicates with STS to get a SAML token, and
then Client uses SAML token to communicate with Server.
When I try to run the sample, it fails when client sends a request for Saml
Token to STS:

Response-Code: 500
Encoding: UTF-8

xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><

Is it known issue ? I am thinking to try older CXF builds. Please let me
know if anyone knows any issue with this sample .

I just tried from a different machine and it is working fine :)
Previously, I was running the samples in some test machine by remote desktop
connection. Not sure why this was causing the errors,.

I just took a standard 2.5.2 download from the CXF download page, I'm
unsure which precise mirror though.
You are opening three separate terminals, running "mvn clean install" in
one of them and then "mvn -Psts", "mvn -Pserver", "mvn -Pclient" in the
three windows, waiting until each fully loads before activating the next
one?

This is interesting, I did try the sample in a different machine and saw the
same error.
I am getting the CXF build (2.5.2) from Apache CXF site , more specifically
from
http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi?path=/cxf/2.5.2/apache-cxf-2.5.2.zip.
are you getting the build from a different place ? or may be some newer
trunk version that I don't have ?

I just confirmed it runs for me on Windows 7 using JDK 6. You may wish
to try the sample on a different machine if you can.

is I am using Windows XP to run the sample.

I wasn't able to duplicate your error. Running on two Ubuntu Linux
machines, one with JDK 1.6 and the other JDK 1.7, both with the
unlimited encryption files as stated in this sample's README. Then I
opened three terminal windows, and per the README instructions, ran "mvn
-Psts", "mvn -Pserver", and "mvn -Pclient" within those three with no
difficulty on either machine. Did you make modifications to the sample
potentially causing that error to occur?
Note the Talend ESB download offers two more CXF STS examples
(http://www.jroller.com/gmazza/entry/cxf_sts_tutorial) you may wish to
take a look at as well. But I would try to get this simple sample
working on your machine first.
