This issue was marked as FIXED but still occurs in actual versions of AOO.

Problem: One can D&D a file from the Linux filemanager to the background (only
to the background) of the AOO Startcenter. This will open the file in AOO.
But if any document is loaded (or the Basic IDE is open) there is no chance to
open a file by D&D.

This is very annoying if one want to open files that are not explicitly
assigned to open with AOO.

It would be nice to see this issue solved for AOO 4.2
