[jira] [Created] (SOLR-18330) RTG requests on TLOG replica shouldn't use an extra local HTTP hop

David Smiley created SOLR-18330:
-----------------------------------

Summary: RTG requests on TLOG replica shouldn't use an extra local HTTP hop
                 Key: SOLR-18330
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18330
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: SolrCloud
            Reporter: David Smiley
            Assignee: David Smiley

If a TLOG leader replica receives an RTG request (/get), today it uses the coordinator/distributed-search code path that does an HTTP hop, which will be to the local node.  This is sad and ridiculous.

It's not a problem for NRT replicas.
