[jira] Created: (AXISCPP-487) Elements of basic XSD types do not serialize namespace declaration

Elements of basic XSD types do not serialize namespace declaration
------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: AXISCPP-487
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXISCPP-487
     Project: Axis-C++
        Type: Bug
  Components: Serialization
    Versions: current (nightly)
    Reporter: Adrian Dick
 Assigned to: Adrian Dick

The serialization of a basic type Element assumes the namespace prefix is associated with an existing namespace declaration.

If this is not the case, an invalid SOAP message is produced.

The serialization engine needs to determine if the namespace prefix is in scope, and if not it should serialize a matching namespace declaration.

[jira] Resolved: (AXISCPP-487) Elements of basic XSD types do not serialize namespace declaration

Posted by "Adrian Dick (JIRA)" <ax...@ws.apache.org>.

Adrian Dick resolved AXISCPP-487:
---------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Addition of an additional serializeAsElement method to BasicTypeSerializer, taking a namespace, and exploitation into SoapSerializer::serializeAsElement.

If this new form of serializeAsElement is used with a namespace provided it will be declared, so care needs to be taken that namespace is validated before use. See modified SoapSerializer::serializeAsElement for an example.
