[jira] Commented: (SOLR-1812) StreamingUpdateSolrServer creates an OutputStreamWriter that it never closes

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-1812?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12867947#action_12867947 ]

Lance Norskog commented on SOLR-1812:
-------------------------------------

Perhaps SolrServer should have a close() method?
This would also take care of the users who create a new SolrServer per upload request and use up sockets (and thus threads at the server).
