As describe in this thread [1], looks like we are missing the
updatesite zip on this RC as well.

This morning I was able to uninstall the plugin, start a new workspace,
install the 1.3 plugin, and it worked. I was able to run a few of the
sample programs whether from plugin or sample main programs.

Hi,
I just tried to install the Eclipse plugins and it works fine for me. I can
click on the 'T' icon to start the domain manager and it creates the
tuscany-sca-domain project for me. It seems that your eclipse installation
may have more than one versions of the Tuscany plugins. Can you check? Maybe
you can try with a brand-new Eclipse installation.
Thanks,
Raymond

Right now my vote is 0.
I attempted to look at the Tuscany 1.3 eclipse plugin in. It updates and
installs apparently correctly. However, I cannot run any SCA composites
with it from Eclipse. It may be my set up in this wroskspace.
Under the Run As dialog I see two configurations under Tuscany:
1) Apache Tuscany SCA Domain Manager
2) SCA Domain Manager
The first has blank VM arguments. The second has what appears to be a
correct pointer to my Tuscany path:
"-DTUSCANY_PATH=/E:/temp/eclipse/features/org.apache.tuscany.sca.feature_1.3.0/runtime/apache-tuscany-sca-1.3/tuscany-sca-1.3/"
When I run with the first config. I see
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/tuscany/sca/node/launcher/DomainManagerLauncher
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.apache.tuscany.sca.node.launcher.DomainManagerLauncher
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)
Exception in thread "main"
When I run with the second config I see an Eclipse error dialog
Problem Occured "Launch configuration SCA Domain Manager references
non-existing project tuscany-sca-domain"
Does anyone else see plugin problems?
Environment
Installed from

Eclipse platform v 3.3.2

I have looked at some of the jiras :
- I can't reproduce TUSCANY-2507.
- For TUSCANY-2508, we need to add the build-dependency missing
file, once we get that, the samples/demos (i checked xml-bigbank)
works fine... I'm not sure here if we are expliciting excluding the
build-dependency, maybe someone could jump and help here.
Thanks.

The only change btw RC2 and RC3 that i can see is the change to the bin
distro to include the Sun activation-1.1.jar instead of
geronimo-activation_1.1_spec-1.0-M1.jar. Both of these are actually
mentioned in the LICENSE file. Is there something else you've seen?

Re: [Vote] Release Tuscany Java SCA 1.3 RC2
Posted by Ramkumar R <ra...@gmail.com>.
Hi,
I just noticed one issue, when trying to create a project as mentioned in
http://tuscany.apache.org/getting-started-with-tuscany.html page using SCA
1.3RC2 distribution. The issue was with ShoppingCartImpl.java, which has the
following import statement in them
import org.apache.tuscany.sca.binding.feed.collection.Collection;
import org.apache.tuscany.sca.binding.feed.collection.NotFoundException;
I believe, the binding-feed module is no longer used. Just wanted to make
sure that the change required is only in the documentation. Please clarify.
Thanks.

Ok, thx ant. I'm just about to look through it.

One more issue with RC2, was: Re: [Vote] Release Tuscany Java SCA 1.3 RC2
Posted by Raymond Feng <en...@gmail.com>.
Hi,
I ran into one more issues with the binary distro on Linux:
1) "ant" build fails for demos/xml-bigbank (and other samples):
Buildfile: build.xml
/home/rfeng/tuscany/dist/tuscany-sca-1.3/demos/xml-bigbank/build-dependency.xml could not be found
BUILD FAILED
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/rfeng/tuscany/dist/tuscany-sca-1.3/demos/xml-bigbank/build-dependency.xml (No such file or directory)
It seems that the binary distro is produced without a full build first. As a result, the generated build-dependency.xmnl is missing.
Thanks,
Raymond

Cool thanks. And now its looking like the policy problem on the Axis2 binding is not in the 1.3 release so we should be good to go with a new RC. I wont have time to get that out for voting today, so will do it tomorrow morning GMT, but it would really really good if anyone with some time could review the RC2 artifacts and post feedback before then so we pick up anything before its a blocker in RC3.
Thanks!

The fix in trunk for T2498 has not yet been applied to the 1.3 branch though
from [1] its probably ok to do that now. It wasn't clear if the problem
