I want to programmatically update an XML-styled configuration file and
everything works very well except for one thing: It fails to save back
the line specifying my DTD:

The DOCTYPE's public and system ID are now extracted when loading an XML
document. On saving, they are written back. With the new publicID and systemID
properties of XMLConfiguration they can be accessed and modified.
