[~szehon] it looks like [Parquet v1.5.0|https://github.com/Parquet/parquet-mr/releases/tag/parquet-1.5.0] includes the fix for that blocking bug https://github.com/Parquet/parquet-mr/issues/350

How is the work-in-progress coming?
