[jira] [Created] (DATALAB-2480) [GCP] Investigate Jupyter/Dataproc creation based on GPU

Vira Vitanska created DATALAB-2480:
--------------------------------------

Summary: [GCP] Investigate Jupyter/Dataproc creation based on GPU
                 Key: DATALAB-2480
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DATALAB-2480
             Project: Apache DataLab
          Issue Type: Task
      Security Level: Public (Regular Issues)
          Components: DataLab Main
            Reporter: Vira Vitanska
            Assignee: Mykola Bodnar
             Fix For: v.2.5
         Attachments: image-2021-06-30-18-10-14-146.png, image-2021-06-30-18-11-12-924.png, image-2021-06-30-18-11-45-413.png, image-2021-06-30-18-15-40-894.png, image-2021-06-30-18-21-31-022.png

*Case1:*

The first Jupyter creation was based on CPU.

Create the second Jupyter via project CPU-image, but with GPU

*Result:*

In GCP console it is:

!image-2021-06-30-18-10-14-146.png!

But running nvidia-smi on Jupyter it is:

!image-2021-06-30-18-11-12-924.png!
 (?) Why NVIDIA-SMI has failed?
----
Case2:

Create Dataproc with GPU on the second Jupyter

*Result:*

In GCP console for master/workers GPU driver is absent:

!image-2021-06-30-18-15-40-894.png!

(?) Why GPU driver is absent in GCP console?

Running nvidia-smi on master/workers Dataproc it is:

!image-2021-06-30-18-21-31-022.png!

(?) Why command is not found?
