Re: [VOTE] Apache Commons to sponsor agimatec-validation incunbation

Since the proposal discussion on Incubator didn't lead to a conclusion
on whether this should be an IP Clearance by Commons or a podling for an
existing project (which is now dormant) I would like your consideration
of allowing us to update the proposal to be sponsored by the Incubator
PMC and we'll revisit where the podling lands at graduation time.

Thanks,
Donald

I think its up to the project going into incubation to decide who they
want to sponsor. So I would say just go ahead and update it.

Hi Donald,
since I was included in the contributors list, I'd like to renew of my
intention in helping you.
My "status" is changed, from ICLA signed to ASF committer (Cocoon3 and
committing to commons-sandbox)
Please let me know whatever I can do to submit the proposal.
Have a nice day,
Simo

Thanks Donald for pushing it!

I'm not a commons guy, but I wait desperately for getting the agimatec stuff over to apache (already using it in a productive project).

What about the package names?

org.apache.commons.validator
or e.g.
org.apache.openvalidator
?

It would be nice to know where the ride goes too, because I'm not very excited if we would have to refactor the whole code over and over again.
