how pass to commons-dbcp 1.2

Hi,
i use jetspeed 1.5 and my problem is to change commons-dbcp version from
commons-dbcp-1.0-dev-20020806.jar version to commons-dbcp-1.1 (or commons-dbcp-1.2) version ...
With these new version i can use SQL validation properties (torque.dsfactory.default.pool.validationQuery)

Im going to test upgrading J1 and J2 to dbcp 1.2 now...
If all goes well I will update the dependencies
