There seem to be several issues with nanocad. The minimization with UFF seem to destroy the structures and does not provide the potential or gradient. Steepest descent with MM3 did minimize but shows an yellow bar in the bottom suggesting there more info  down there, but not readable. The nanocad window should be resizable.
