Re: [DISCUSS] Apache Airavata release 0.10 - RC1

Happy Halloween all!

Trick or treat (Test results or VOTES please)?

Raman,

Can you leave the vote open until Monday evening? I tested the quick start
tutorials and it worked well. I plan to use this RC to do some testing on a
tomcat/mysql setup and would like to validate some cosmetic errors I have
seen during standalone testing.

Suresh

Hi Raman,

Yes, those two issues are not blockers. I created [1] and [2] jira tasks. I
will post my vote in release vote thread.

As requested Vote is open till Nov 4th mid-night but please don’t wait till end.

Chathuri, thanks for verifying the release. Please report the the [ERROR] Standard Error output : as a JIRA. Both the issues you reported are minor and we can fix it if we will have another RC. But if not we can fix them in next release. WDYT? Please post your release vote.

Thanks

Re: [DISCUSS] Apache Airavata release 0.10 - RC1

I verified the release 10 min tutorial and did functional testing of GRAM, SSH and GSISSH providers. I created the wiki page [1] to describe verification steps for the release. I will add details to this page and then we can discuss how to motivate these steps.
Verified the source and release tag.
Verified notice and license files.

Thanks

Re: [DISCUSS] Apache Airavata release 0.10 - RC1

I was able to get the quick start and a GSI-SSH submission working. Since we
lack any documentation on how to use GSI-SSH provider and its integration
with credential store is not complicate, I suggest we mark this explicitly
in RELEASE_NOTES as ³in development² feature.

I also, ran into the issue Chathuri previously reported on AIRAVATA-914 [1],
we should plan on testing various database setup combinations for next
release.
