JMeter recording problem

Hi JMeter professionals : ))

Today I wanted to record web application using Jmeter for the first time and
followed guidelines shown in
http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/jmeter_proxy_step_by_step.pdf

However, when I open browser and try to go web application address then it
shows the following error:

Did anyone else come with such error?

Thanks,

Hello uzfarid, can you ping the target address? Which browser are you using and have you set-up the browser for proxy? A tip for the future you might want to append you messages with something like this:

OS: Linux/Ubuntu/Debian/Windows/x
JMeter: 2.3.x
Browser: Netscape/Firefox/Safari/Opera/IE/x
HW: AMD 64 generic/HP/Dell/Mac Pro

Yet some, not wise, go to the other side of the globe, to barbarous and unhealthy regions, and devote ten or twenty years, in that they may live,-that is, keep comfortably warm,- and die in New England at last.
