[Axis1] how to get the User from http-session?

Hi

I use basic auth to authenticate users before they can access my webservice.
How can I get the the username of a user from a webservice? ist this
even possible? I can not see any possibility...

what about Axis2? is it possible to access the username there (not using
Pojos)?

best regards
Daniel
