[jira] [Commented] (YARN-8480) Add boolean option for resources

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-8480?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16527962#comment-16527962 ]

Jason Lowe commented on YARN-8480:
----------------------------------

Could someone elaborate a bit more on the use-case for this and how having a nodemanager only report having a single instance of the resource using the existing, countable resources would not be sufficient? Is it that the boolean value is not "exhausted" when allocated? If so then this sounds like it overlaps quite a bit with the node attributes work in YARN-3409.
