mod_jk build using apache-ssl 1.3.27+ssl_1.48?

All,

I was wondering if anyone has seen this before or has any advice on this, I
use Apache-SSL 1.3.27+ssl_1.48 build using Solaris 9 oc gcc 3.2.2 and
Openssl 0.9.7b and have seen this problem ever since I started using
Apache-SSL even on a different compiler & platform on much earlier Apache
and OpenSSL versions (Apache 1.3.12 and OpenSSL 0.9.6c if my memory serves
me correctly).

The build of mod_jk fails when pointing APACHE_HOME at the secure version of
Apache as follows, but works fine if you point APACHE_HOME at a normal
non-ssl build of the same version of Apache.

gcc -DSOLARIS2=290 -DTARGET="httpsd" -DUSE_EXPAT -I../lib/expat-lite
-DAPACHE_SSL -m32 -fPIC -DSHARED_MODULE
-I/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include -I../common
-I/www/java/j2sdk1_3_1_07/include -I/www/java/j2sdk1_3_1_07/include/solaris
-DSOLARIS -c mod_jk.c In file included from
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/httpd.h:79,
from mod_jk.c:70:
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/buff.h:75:26: openssl/ssl.h: No
such file or directory
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/buff.h:78:3: #error "Don't use
OpenSSL/SSLeay versions less than 0.9.2b, they have a serious security
problem!" In file included from
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/httpd.h:79,
from mod_jk.c:70:
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/buff.h:152: parse error before
"SSL"
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/buff.h:152: warning: no semicolon
at end of struct or union
/www/apache/apache_1.3.27+ssl_1.48/include/buff.h:163: parse error before
'}' token
apxs:Break: Command failed with rc=1
Error with apxs

Basicly I was just wondering if it's possible to use my SSL build of Apache
to build mod_jk rather than having to build a non-secure version and use
that solely for the purpose of making mod_jk?

Regards

John Boocock
