Walking through referenced files

Hi,

Here is my use case.

I have an svg file that is used as a template to
produce customized images.

Let's call it template.svg.

template.svg is loaded with
SAXSVGDocumentFactory.createDocument(url).

Each time we need a new customized image, the loaded
template is cloned, some elements/attributes are
changed and the clone is transcoded to the output.

The template can itself reference other templates via
the <image> tag. These referenced templates need also
to be customized and they can also reference other
templates themselves.

A referenced <image> in a template can be also
customized. That is, its xlink:href could changed on
the fly. This 'customized' <image> can itself be a
template.

Any idea of the the best strategy?
