Sounds much more likely to be old time zone data in the JVM than a Chainsaw
issue.  Could you update the JVM either by downloading a new one or using the
tzupdater program (http://java.sun.com/javase/tzupdater_README.html) and see if
the problem goes away.

If it doesn't seem to be a JVM issue, then please at least report OS version,
JVM vendor and version, processor type, etc.
