Setting up a single Zookeeper instance and the binding fails
I am trying to set up a single zookeeper instance using the configuration
below , however the start log indicates that the zookeeper is halting while
trying to bind the port 2181.Can some one please let me know the issue
here. Thank you.

I think the server is running at that point. If you are on *nix box,
try something like:
echo ruok | nc localhost 2181
If the ZooKeeper server is running, it says "imok".

Thank you I did that , now I dont see the error message that I used to see
earlier , but it still hangs while trying to bind the port 2181 as shown
below , any other suggestions that I can try.

You don't need this line for standalone zookeeper:
server.1=localhost:2888:3888
