[jira] [Commented] (ARROW-17225) [C++] Possible memory leak when registering compare functions

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-17225?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17571998#comment-17571998 ]

Wes McKinney commented on ARROW-17225:
--------------------------------------

This is really strange, because the line that valgrind is pointing to is extremely innocuous:

{code}
kernel.signature = KernelSignature::Make({ty, ty}, boolean());
{code}

Given the presence of other valgrind issues, it seems like there may be some other memory corruption somewhere

> The R function call that triggered this was {{arrow::list_compute_functions()}}, probably when it was called when loading the arrow namespace (i.e., {{library(arrow}}}).
