   ## Description ##
   
   Minor bugfix for calling `save_states()` on newly created trainer.  Currently you get:
   ```
   >       if self._update_on_kvstore:
   E       AttributeError: 'Trainer' object has no attribute '_update_on_kvstore'
   ```
