[GitHub] [iceberg] ggershinsky opened a new issue #2073: Integrity of Iceberg tables

ggershinsky opened a new issue #2073:
URL: https://github.com/apache/iceberg/issues/2073

Encryption allows to hide sensitive data and metadata of Iceberg tables from an attacker that breaches the storage. However, such attacker can also tamper with the tables (lose recent updates; replace with an old version; ingest wrong files; modify existing files; remove data or metadata files). This mechanism will make Iceberg tables not only encrypted, but also tamper-proof.
   Depends on #44 and #2060
