[jira] [Commented] (CALCITE-2761) ADD NVL function to SQL standard

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CALCITE-2761?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16732028#comment-16732028 ]

Stamatis Zampetakis commented on CALCITE-2761:
----------------------------------------------

I am a bit confused from the subject and description of this issue. Why do you want to add NVL to SqlStdOperatorTable? As you said it is vendor specific so I am not suprised that it is not in SqlStdOperatorTable. On the other hand, NVL the function exists in OracleSqlOperatorTable. Can you explain a bit more what is the need?

> Teradata, Oracle, and Netezza have NVL function. It is not there in SQL standard. So adding it to SqlStdOperatorTable.
