document problems

Yes, I'm trying to write a book and I'm 70 pages into it.  I have about 5 pages that are blank.  It's like I've typed in the background.  You can't see any words on the page.  You can put the cursor over the page and the cursor changes To the line like you put it over something to make a correction?
