Bootstrap maven skin

Hi everybody,

I've been talking to Christian Grobmeier and he informs me that there
is an ongoing effort to create a Bootstrap [1] powered skin for maven.

I would like to inform you that there is an almost finished one which
I've created for the Apache log4php project. If you like, we can
combine our efforts, instead of duplicating them.

Have a look at the sample site [2] and the code [3].

[2] http://bezdomni.net/log4php/
[3] https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/logging/log4php/branches/experimental/config-adapters/src/site/

Best regards,
Ivan

Hi Ivan!
I am not a Javascript "black-belt" so feel free to replace jQuery with
cross-browser-plain-old javascript if you are able to do, I'm totally
dummy on that area... that's why I plugged jquery :P
TIA!!!

that makes a lot of sense, +1 to keep jQuery, that would make easier

Ivan, did you see this?
http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/#javascript
This works with jQuery, so probably it makes sense to leave in jQuery
(I only say: Scrollspy!! :-))

maven-water-skin?
Not b/c its blue, but because it is like running water.

Thanks. I started incorporating some of my tweaks. We'll see how it goes.

Do we want to include jQuery with the theme? I think that the few
tweaks we use it for can be done in plain javascript. A lot of maven
sites are pretty static so it might be an unnecessary overhead.

sorry for joining the discussion so late guys!!!

@Ivan: you are *much more* than welcome, I really need a big help on
finalizing it! Feel free to asking whatever is needed, I will more
than pleased to reply!

About TM: yes, the 'fluido' name is something that always bounces in
my mind - don't ask me why because I don't know :D - so if there are
issues about it, we are still on the road to change it if needed.
Anyway, since I am behind both skins - and no problem at all to donate
everything to ASF, it's almost my home! - I don't see potential risks,
if I do have to fill a SoftwareGrant I can do it, just clarify me!

I suspect too that 'maven-bootstrap-skin' would raise legal issues, so
suggestions are welcome.

I'm curious why you called it Fluido, when this skin already exists:
http://code.google.com/p/fluido-skin/

Is it just a placeholder name?

Note this skin use an other css called boostrap-override.css which is
empty by default.
But you can put your own in you project src/site/resources/css to
override some class. (yes some people don't like black topbar or

Thanks Olivier,

I feel a bit sheepish now, because I've invested quite some time to
get it to work. :-)

I will take a look at the code and see where I can contribute.

sandbox path is open for all apache committers so feel free to participate.
