if I select Custom during install, the language under "Additional Language
Packs" is given as "STR_NAME_MODULE_LANGPACK_GD (including on the right in
"Feature Description"). This should be "Gaelic (Scotland)" or "Scottish
Gaelic".

Sure that's fine, my main concern was that they were showing as string names
rather than text in whatever language

If needed, translations below. Note the language doesn't need the modifier in
Gaelic itself as it's unambiguous.

I had already prepared the en-US version on my local branch and changed it now
to the these strings.
We won't run a complete translation update for AOO3.4.1, the translation will
come in 4.0.

Assigning to Jürgen.
@jsc: this should be merged on AOO34 branch. It will add two new strings to be
localized for every supported language, but I guess this can be omitted and
translate them only for gd.
