One problem here is that the method:

public UnknownElement parseUnknownElement(Project project, URL source)

is not in ProjectHelper, just ProjectHelper2. Maybe we could pull it up and then
rely on implementations that want to override it, to override it, or we do some
tricks to see if the helper extends ProjectHelper2, and fallback to a hard coded
one if not.
