[jira] [Commented] (KARAF-460) Add commands to manipulate kar archives

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-460?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13176237#comment-13176237 ]

Jean-Baptiste Onofré commented on KARAF-460:
--------------------------------------------

I added a first kar modules (with core providing the KarService, shell commands, JMX management) and refactored the KAR deployer.

It's a first step, I have:
- add unit tests
- add new features support (uninstall cleanup, etc)

Revision 1224954.

> Add commands to manipulate kar archives
> ---------------------------------------
>
> Key: KARAF-460
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-460
> Project: Karaf
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: karaf-kar, karaf-shell
> Affects Versions: 2.2.0, 3.0.0
> Reporter: Jean-Baptiste Onofré
> Assignee: Jean-Baptiste Onofré
> Fix For: 3.0.0, 3.1.0
>
>
> The kar deployer deploys kar archives by:
> - creating a local repo ($KARAF_HOME/local-repo)
> - registering the features descriptor
> In a production environment, it's not easy to see which features come from a kar, or added by hand, etc.
> At least, just a command to list the deployed kar archives could be helpful.
