Missing date/time text in text content for PPT and PPTX files.

The date and time are missing from the text content.  This occurs when one chooses the following with MS-PowerPoint 2010:
1) "Insert"
2) "Date & Time"
3) "Update automatically"
4) save to PPT or PPTX

I wonder if "update automatically" Date/Time objects don't have their texts saved in PPT/PPTX files.
