folding Redback into Archiva ?
Hello,
Sorry for cross posting.
I'd like to restart an old thread (see
http://markmail.org/thread/g7czzsyvie6xhket )
So what do you think about "forking" redback stuff to Archiva svn tree
? (I mean not importing svn history)
http://svn.codehaus.org/redback/redback/ ->
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/archiva/redback/redback-core
http://svn.codehaus.org/redback/components/ ->
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/archiva/redback/redback-components
And changing various namespaces (groupId to org.apache.archiva.redback
and root package too).
BTW I will take about ip clearance.
WDYT ?
Thanks,

Hello,
Sources imported, jenkins jobs added with automatic snapshots
deployment to https://archiva-repository.apache.org/archiva/repository/snapshots.
I will know cleanup stuff (license headers, groupId change, package change etc.)

Thanks Olivier. A few things...
- It usually says "officer or member responsible" - if the template changed to just officer, it should be Deng
- would be better to use mail-archives + s.apache.org as the link to this thread for acceptance
- it might be good to checksum the tarball

Like quite a few other projects which got forked out of other ASF projects and only used there, I also don't know why it landed up on codehaus. Thus just do a proper SVN-history scan and check all contributions of people who have no iCLA on file (which might be near zero) and then move it back over.
