--- Comment #4 from Andrea Pescetti <pe...@apache.org> ---
I'd consider this a WONTFIX. Having a duplicate menu entry for exporting to PDF
is understandable, since that is by far the most commonly used export option.
Removing it would confuse some million users.

--- Comment #5 from Ariel Constenla-Haile <ar...@apache.org> ---
Indeed, this bug is INVALID, the action in the menu entries is not the same:
a) File - Export
Action: exporting the document, you have different options, among them, in the
list box, you can select PDF
b) File - Export as PDF
Action: exporting to PDF, setting the export options in the PDF export dialog
c) standard toolbar - Export Directly as PDF
Action: exporting to PDF, directly, no options dialog
Removing (b) would introduce a regression, it is the straight-forward way to
export "directly" to PDF allowing to set the export options.

--- Comment #2 from Joe Smith <je...@martnet.com> ---
Sorry, why is this a problem?
It makes sense to me to have two separate pathways:
-- a general path "export any file type, one of which is pdf" and
-- a direct path "export as pdf"
because exporting a pdf is such a common operation.
These two menu paths have been around a long time; I (for one) would consider
it a regression if one was to go away. As long as the two paths are equivalent,
I don't see the problem in having both.
