    @gatorsmile I have backport the test case in #16339 with small modification. because the "INSERT OVERWRITE TABLE tab SELECT '$i'" will bring the issue from hive side e.g., https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-12200. Thus, I just create a temp table and insert data from the select temp table. please double check and verify.
