Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JAMES-69
Summary: deluser [username], where username doesn't exist, gives an erroneous success message
Type: Bug
Status: Closed
Resolution: FIXED
Project: James
Components:
James Core
Versions:
2.0a3
Assignee:
Reporter: Dejan Nenov
Created: Tue, 17 Dec 2002 4:21 AM
Updated: Sun, 6 Jun 2004 2:20 PM
Environment: Operating System: All
Platform: All
Description:
The deluser command does not work.
Please contact me at dejannenov@jollyobject.com for specific example.
Or you may try teklnetting to:
app001.jollyobject.com:4555 root/root and attempt to execute:
deluser mwybo
the account will NOT be removed - follow with another deluser mwybo and you
will receive "User mwybo deleted" again - but the account is still there.
Further more the system does not report an error or notice when attempting to
delete a non-existant account.
Finally - there are exceptions thrown and not caught or logged anywhere when a
deluser is executed without a username.
