Could be replaced with ${storm.version} with parent pom.xml properties section updated as:
{code}
<properties>
  <storm.version>1.0.1</storm.version>
</properties> 
{code}

Similarly: https://github.com/apache/nifi/blob/master/nifi-nar-bundles/nifi-hbase-bundle/pom.xml#L43 
Could be replaced with parent pom update:
{code} 
<properties>
 <hbase.version>1.1.2</hbase.version>
</properties>
{code}
