[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10537) SPOF? gen_asf-authorization.pl relies on single LDAP server

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-10537?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14980299#comment-14980299 ]

Sebb commented on INFRA-10537:
------------------------------

(It was updated to use ldap3-us-west, presumably to get round the failure of ldap1-us-west. That also suggests it is still being used)

Could use the approach taken in INFRA-10555, i.e. use a list of hosts, and apply a short timeout.

> The file
> modules/subversion_server/files/scripts/authorization/gen_asf-authorization.pl
> currently relies on using ldap1-us-west only with no override e.g. via env variable.
> If this script is still in use, that is a SPOF.
