Timestamps in catalina.out?

Is there a way to append a timestamp to the entries within catalina.out?  I see where you can specify timestamp="true" in server.xml (below), but that goes to another log.

<Logger className="org.apache.catalina.logger.FileLogger"
prefix="apache_log." suffix=".txt"
timestamp="true"/>
